The Real Deal

What do you know, the next night the exact same thing happened, but this time when morning came about 6:30 the contractions started to become regular. I was glad something was happening. Even though they were regular, I knew it wasn't time to go the hospital yet, it was too easy. So we did our normal Saturday trip to Grandma Murdoch's to clean and we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Versey's. Then about noon I decided it was time to go. When we got to the hospital they said I had dilated to a 3, finally something was happening down there. I of course being the “tough” girl that I am said I didn’t want an epidural, at least not yet. I wanted to experience how bad it could get. It was a sensation I cannot compare to anything. I didn’t make it very far. At 4:30 my doctor broke my water and then it was unbearable. They couldn’t get me the epidural fast enough! Though, I never screamed or yelled. After I got the epidural things started to move faster and 8:30 p.m. I was ready to push and Grant was born at 8:49 p.m. That’s right only 19 minutes of pushing!! I guess that just means I have strong pooping muscles.
