The real reason all my family was here for the 4th of July, which I forgot to mention, was for Grants' blessing on the 6th. It was a happy day of course and fun to have all the fam together. But I have to give a little background on his blessing outfit, which turned out so much better than Bensons'. I used the same pattern on Grants' that I did for Benson's, but with Bensons' I completely ruined the back of it. The button holes were the last step and I completely ripped through them with the seam ripper, tried to patch it, then ripped through them again. This happened on all three button holes. With Grants' like I said, it turned out better, but I cut the fabric from my wedding dress. I know, can you believe it? I don't regret it yet, and hope I never will. At one point I thought about selling my wedding dress because what else am I supposed to do with it? And it will probably turn yellow before it means anything to my children, so I figured, what the heck? So the plan is that all our kids will at least get a piece of my wedding dress in their blessing outfit. We may run out of wedding dress though before we run out of kids. (I'm not hinting anything, it just depends what the Lord has in store for us.)
