Going Green

We went camping this weekend in a canyon behind this windmill farm. I think there are over 300 windmills and they are huge. The span of one turbine is the length of a semi bed and they are made of wood. I would hate to be standing under a windmill when a turbine breaks off. They are amazingly quite, you can't hear it unless you are up close. Sadly, we are not reaping the benefits of them yet. Someone is , but I don't know who.

Josh, Benson, and Josh's brother Jake are standing at the base of the windmill. There are stairs in side that go all the way to the top. Talk about a workout!

Along the same lines of going green. . . If anyone would like some money saving tips, Josh is the man. Those of you who know him, know he is always thinking of more ways to save save save; canning our garden, making our own bread, burning wood in the winter, building a hydrogen fuel cell, riding his bike to work. Yes riding his bike to work! Let me explain. We live in the country, so it's not an easy 10 min ride. It takes 10 min. just to ride into town, but he doesn't work right in town he works in Idaho Falls. So this last week he has riden his bike which takes 1 hour to get to work and 1 1/2 to get home. I think it's 12 miles one way. He plans to keep doing it. I am so proud of him. I know I couldn't do that. Even if I could, I probably wouldn't. He is the Man!
