My day

3:00a.m.   Grant gets in our bed.
5:00a.m.   Benson comes in my room and asks to get in our bed. I tell him to go lye in the chair by the fireplace, so he does.
7:00a.m.   Alarm goes off and Josh hits the snooze
7: 09a.m.  Alarm goes off again and Benson comes in our room and tells us it's time to get up. Josh hits the snooze again.
7:27a.m.   Finally get out of bed, brush teeth, pull my hair back where it will stay the rest of the day, get Porter out of bed, change his diaper and get him dressed, put some wood on the fire, make Josh's lunch, make our green smoothies, make Porter some oatmeal
8:00a.m.   Cold cereal for breakfast, send Josh off to school, put dishes away, tell the boys to do their job charts.
8:30a.m.   Do dishes from breakfast and the night before, get dressed, makeup, remind boys to get their job charts done again.
9:00a.m.   Prepare for the homeschool group, pick up, make cookies for our "5 senses" lesson, change Porters diaper
10:00a.m.  Homeschool group arrives, children have lots of fun learning about sense and tasting vanilla, salty snickerdoodles, Thanksgiving stories, Thanksgiving craft, math sheets using clothes pins, playing outside, breaking the car car window (which I did not find out about until a couple hours later - it's a old car and the window was already completely shattered, now it's just completely gone)
12:45p.m.  Most of the homeschool group leaves except one and her children of course, we talk and visit, the children pull out every single toy we have
1:45p.m.   Time to clean up, we help the children clean the toys, they disappear, we continue to talk while we clean without them
2:10p.m.   Everyone is gone now, put the boys on the couch for 5 mins. for not helping put the toys away and for not letting their friends know the rules, find out about the broken winshield,
2:30p.m.   Get the boys lunch, have Benson call Josh at work and tell him what happened and apologize, ground Benson from playing with friends for two weeks, put Porter down for a nap, eat lunch, sweep the floor, put more wood on the fire
2:50p.m.   Benson reads to me, I read to the boys
3:05pm.    Piano lessons
4:10p.m.   Porter wakes up from nap, change diaper
5:15p.m.   Last piano student leaves, realize I don't have time to make what I had planned for dinner, I am exhausted, so I make Mac n' Cheese with Little Smokies, Benson and Grant set the table
5:40p.m.   Wash dishes, bathe the boys, put wood on the fire,
6:00p.m.   Presidency meeting
6:50p.m.   Help boys brush their teeth, help them pick up their room,
7:00p.m.   Read scriptures, family prayer, read them a couple books, help them say their prayers, kiss them good night,
7:30p.m.   Start a load of laundry, check e-mail, facebook,
8:00p.m.   Here I am waiting for Josh to get home, I will shower, get ready for bed, read a conference talk, and hopefully go to bed early

I keep waiting for things to slow down and obviously some days are better than most. Today was not one of those better days, but considering the circumstances I think I handled it all pretty well. It is just amazing how quickly little boys can get out of control when everything around them seems exciting. And for some reason the excitement lasts until bed time.

A couple disclosure:
1. We discussed doing our homeschool group at the church  (we only meet 2x a month) because we now have 15 children. I love doing our homeschool group and it is structured but we also give them time to play.
2. I never make mac n' cheese for dinner, never. Today called for desperate measures.
3. I like to blame ruff days on the cold cereal - I don't know why.
