As soon as Josh graduated and had a job lined up I started making plans for our family to take a trip to Disneyland. A couple weeks before we told the boys we had a surprise for them but they wouldn't find out for a couple weeks. We didn't tell them until we woke up that morning about 4 a.m. that we were leaving right now to go to Disneyland. It was priceless. The drive was about as far as a trip to Arizona so they did pretty good.
As soon as we had the time and money my mom said she wanted to go with us. So we planned our trip during Chandler's October intersession and they met us there. We stayed at separate hotels but spent the day at Disneyland together. We spent 2 days at Disneyland and 2 days at California Adventure Land. Because this was Josh's first time he wanted to experience every ride and those 2 days at each park gave us just enough time to do that, from open to close 4 days. It was a crazy 4 days but looking back, I'm ready to do it again. The only thing that was disappointing to me was that even though I felt like we were on this magical vacation, the kids were still kids, fighting, getting tired, having melt downs, but I know we will all have great memories. Get ready for the picture overload. My parents were taking care of Molly and Peirce at the time, so they were able to come to. They boys had fun being with cousins.
We celebrated Josh's 30th birthday while we were there. We spent the day at Huntington Beach and brought cupcakes. The water was too cold to swim in but the kids loved the beach experience.
I was able to meet up with my cousin McKinely while there. It was great to see her and her cute kids. It had been a long time since I'd seen her. She is so beautiful and such a good mom.
Really no matter where we are I love spending time with my family. I really think I had more fun on the trip than anyone else. I love being able to give my kids experiences that they will never forget, no matter how big or small. Experience make us who we are.
