June 22 we celebrated
Benson's birthday. I can't believe he is 5 years old. For Benson's birthday we just met some friends at the Park and brought cupcakes to share. He is such a good boy and a great big brother. I love listening to his reasoning and watching him talk with his hands; it is hilarious! He is reading Dick and Jane books and loves to ride his bike. Josh has plans to make a bmx track to the side of our house for him. Josh was into bmx bikes and skateboarding (and really good at it) when he was younger, so I'm not quite sure if he really wants to build it for Benson or himself.
We also went to the Murdoch Family Reunion (Josh's Mom's side) in Heber Valley. It was so pretty and lots of fun to visit with his cousins and for our kids to get to play with their cousins.
My Mom and Christopher came up for the
4th of July. We started the day off with the Idaho Falls Parade then a BBQ at Melissa's house. We bought some fireworks to light off that night. We just sat outside and the boys lit them off one after the other. They had so much fun! Then when we were done we sat on our front porch and watched another 30 mins. of fireworks that everyone else was lighting off. Can I just say the 4th of July has got to be my favorite holiday. The fact that is in the summer, no one is trying to sell you candy or toys, and for all it represents...It is wonderful!
